The John R. Crooker Agency is an independent insurance agency in Bucksport, Maine. Since 1928, the John R. Crooker Agency has been providing personal and commercial insurance in Hancock County and throughout the state.

Rob Clapp
President/ Owner

Rob joined The Merle B. Grindle Agency in 1979 as an employee and became part owner with Peter Dodge in 1987, growing the agency with Peter ever since and purchasing the Crooker Agency in 2000 from Caroline Crooker. After Peter retired in 2015, Rob became the majority owner. Rob's father was a long time math teacher at Bucksport High School. His goal is to continue to provide great service and insurance advice, and to differentiate our agency from our competitors by building long term relationships with our customers. Diane McGuire 
Office Manager

Diane has been working in the insurance field since 1993 and joined the John R. Crooker Agency in 2009.  She writes and services both personal and commercial lines of insurance and is our office manager.  She enjoys time spent outdoors and with her family.  Her direct email is [email protected]

Gwen Goodrich
​​Insurance Agent

Gwen joined the agency in 2002 and worked for ten years in the Blue Hill office before relocating to the John R Crooker Agency in 2012. She writes and services both Personal and Commercial insurance. In her spare time she creates stained glass panels, cheers for the Bucksport Golden Bucks, and spends time with family and friends.  Her direct email is [email protected]

Heather Hassapelis
